It was a holiday weekend so they were full to the max. Still a beautiful park with good hiking. All campers were quiet in one case the sun went downwards. For some a niggling bit of train noise only I couldn't hear information technology. No h2o at the sites and at that place was a warning about nitrates being in the water with caution for infants. I had a total tank of fresh water so didn't utilize it.

Nosotros stayed hither in February and the conditions was wonderful. I typed $thirty for the price, since that's what they say on the park'southward website, though I swear we payed a lot less than that. I'll have to bank check my records to confirm that. The park is right off I-10 and a curt distance from Casa Grande and not too far from Tucson. The park ... more

Nosotros loved the desert vibes and cute sunsets at Picacho Summit State Park. While the park is quiet, spacious, and laid-dorsum, it likewise offers dandy hikes for all skill levels. Nosotros also loved the convenience of the park's location. It's correct off interstate 10 and offers a secluded experience, only is a quick 30 to twoscore-minute drive to both Tucson and Casa Grande. Nosotros enjoyed dinner ane dark in downtown Tucson (Mexican nutrient is a must in this expanse!) and driving through Saguaro National Park on the way. But otherwise, we simply enjoyed the serenity of the park, grilling and photographing the saguaros at dusk, and waking upwards early for a sunrise hike!

We intended to stay a few nights, but they simply had room for united states of america for one night (Arizona's reservation system leaves a lot to be desired). The park is beautiful and is a great stop if you're heading towards or from Tucson. Tons of trail, beautiful sunsets, and massive spots. Nosotros'll definitely come up back. It'south not really near many services, besides gas, so make certain you have groceries and everything else you need before you go.

Picacho Tiptop State Park is prepare merely a curt distance off I-x only except for some faint background noise from the freeway and railroad train tracks y'all'd call back you were miles abroad. This is one of the cleanest and well-nigh well run state parks that nosotros've ever stayed at. The restrooms are kept well maintained and clean and in that location are free showers with... more

Nosotros loved our couple of nights at Picacho Peak State Park. The campground consists of three loops (A, B & C). All campsites have 50amp electrical and there is a dump station at the entrance to the campground with potable water. There are also two shower facilities which nosotros very nice and clean. I call up it might have been one of the all-time showers ... more than

***Campground Review*** Wow, does this campground have some astonishing views - with fifty-fifty more stunning sunsets! We came on a whim and got 2 nights (Lord's day-Tuesday) without any problems with our 32ft fifth bicycle. Nosotros did try to call ahead, but they would not take same day reservations. Our site (C10) had electrical, no water, no shade... more

Nosotros really enjoyed our week hither. Good cell coverage on Verizon only ATT not so much. The highway and railroad train dissonance is not every bit noticeable from "A" loop due to a large outcropping directly between. Nosotros heard information technology only it really never bothered us that much. The hiking is wonderful and nosotros climbed to the top of the height and back downward in less than three hours. Information technology is a bit difficult but well worth the effort. Views are nifty and the facilities & dump station are very clean and much more accessible on "A" loop. We would definitely stay here again.

No sewer or water hookups, only there iis a dump station and potable water at entrance to the RV section of the park. The bathrooms were very clean. The park was most empty and there was some noise from the superhighway, only slap-up equally the light air current drowned out nearly of the noise. Nosotros were really impressed with this park and would absolutely stay here once again. Only reasons its non a 5 star is the lack of full hookups.
